He was preceded in death by his daughter Michelle Gay Day.
He is survived by his wife Shirley; his children, Terrence Price, Donald DeLane Cline, Gregory Price, Colleen Theodore Koch; his grandchildren, Art Day Jr., Jennifer Day, Christina Joseph Ingallina, Charity Schantz, Dustin Cline, Nathan Koch and Owen Koch; his mother-in-law Clara Rorem; brothers-in-law, Rodney Mary Rorem and Leroy Doris Rorem.
A private family service was held.
