Gene Marie Kruis

Gene was saved unto eternal life by the grace of God, through faith in Jesus Christ. She demonstrated her faith by a godly walk of life, by the power of the Holy Spirit. When she knew her life was ebbing away, with weakened voice, she joined her husband, children and grandchildren gathered around her bed, in singing praises to the Lord.

Gene will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 59 years, Rev. John G. Kruis; her children Ronald Susan Kruis, John Barbara Kruis, Nelva Terry Michmerhuizen, Kevin Trena Kruis, David Debra Kruis; her 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; her siblings Marie Zylstra, Peter Mae Keyzer, Joan Frank Wind; and many nieces and nephews.

A time for relatives and friends will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW west building. Funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Bethel United Reformed Church, 2025 Baldwin St. in Jenison. Rev. Derrick VanderMuelen will be officiating.
