Blessed are the pure of heart, for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8
Neva passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2003, at her home after a short struggle with cancer.
Neva was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James; her parents, Tony and Sadie Elenbaas; her great granddaughter, Emily Michele Hauck; her sister Arlene McCullum; and her brothers, Earl and Ivan Elenbaas.
And the Mother said: “I have reached the end of my journey. I have been faithful to my children and faithful to God. The end is better than the beginning, for my children can walk alone with the Shepherd.
She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her children, James and Shirley Heyboer, Erwin and Grace Heyboer, Linda and Carl Burgess and Randy and Betty Heyboer; her 15 loving grandchildren; and 17 precious great grandchildren; her sisters, Lorraine and Gene Newenhouse, Arloa and George VanKovering, Hazel Wyngarden, Dolly and Cliff Landhuis; her sisters-in-law, Jenny Elenbaas and Doris Wiersma; her brothers-in-law, Hamilton McCallum and Lester and Amy Heyboer; her sisters-in-law Margaret Wolfert and Ruth Heyboer; also many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Neva was a long time member of Kelloggsville Christian Reformed Church. Special thanks for the love and support given her by Joan and the Joy Club at Kelloggsville Church, the members of Topps Club of Michigan, and her neighbors at the Byron Forest Condominiums. She was a dedicated volunteer at Bibles for Mexico. Neva loved flowers and her beautiful gardens. She has passed that legacy down to her children and many of her grandchildren. The world was a more beautiful place because of her.
