He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy; children and families James Kocsis; Jeffrie (Christine) Kocsis, Benjamin (fiancée, Lydia) and Bradley; Karen (David) Barbachyn, Laura and Joshua Barbachyn; brothers John (Jane) Kocsis and Dave (Jeanne) Kocsis; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
George proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He loved music, literature, and any Detroit sports team. Mostly he loved spending time with his family.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 21, 2020 at Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4201 Burlingame Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI 49509, with visitation from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior to service.
In honor of George and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church.
