To all of Al's family,
 I am going to miss your son, brother, dad, so much you just can't imagine. You know how much he meant to me - I don't know what I will do without him.
 He was such a good man - Betty you did a fine job raising him - so thoughtful, honest and loving. Well done....
 He was such a good friend and so much more - I can't imagine anyone replacing what he was to me.
 My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you - we will keep in touch, I promise.
 My car will probably continue to drive automatically to St. Mary's Hospital.... and I may wait for Al to call me after work for awhile...
 I guess we will just have to continue to take it a day at a time for awhile, just like we did when he was in the hospital. I am glad he is not suffering anymore - I wish he as still here..

To all of Al's Family
 First of all, by way of introduction, I am Colleen Petruska's mother. I wish to extend my condolences to all of you from myself and all in Colleen's family.
 The first time I heard of Al, Colleen told me she had met this wonderful man at a Single's Dance. She said he was such a nice man, so thoughtful, so sweet. When she would be ready to leave the dances he would walk her to her car in the dark parking lot, and make sure she was safe as she drove home. The more she told me about him, the more I was convinced that he was "quite a man". 
 When I met Al, all the things she told me about him were true. He was so nice, so friendly, so thoughtful, and so good to Colleen. When Colleen was happy, that made me happy. 
 Al was instrumental in helping us have a surprise birthday party for Colleen. He was so nervous, because he thought he would "spill the beans". He didn't! He was great in keeping the secret. 
 All the things I have said about Al are so true. He made my daughter very happy, and that made me happy. 
 Al suffered so much these past few months. He tried so hard to get well, but it was just not to be He put up a good fight, but his body just could not fight any longer. This kind, wonderful, gentle man is no longer in pain. He is at peace now.
 Al will be remembered by all of us forever, and will truly be missed by all of us who came to love him.

To all of Al's Family,
 Al was such an inportant part of Collen's life. He was so good to her. We all got to know Al over the years and he was a truly generous and very kind person. He treated all of us like he had known us forever.
 We will all miss him. He has suffered so much pain over the past few months. He is at peace now.
 I remember when he came to Milwaukee for the circus parade. He was such a good sport. He wore the funny red nose and had a grand old time. For Colleen's birthday party. he kept the secret that it was a surprise. He helped with the planning and did a great job. Every time we would come to Michigan to visit Colleen, Al always came over to visit with us. We had a great time with him. 
 We will miss him and always love him.

 My sincere condolences to all of you on the death of Al.
 My name is Kathy Al-Meer, sister to Colleen. I had the pleasure to know Al. Al was a very kind, gentle, and caring man. He was an important part of our family. He truly will be missed.
 For the last several months, Al was in a lot of pain. He is no longer suffering. For those that cared for Al, they are suffering his loss. Take one day at a time, and know that Al is no longer suffering.

He was a very caring and very funny uncle .He was like a second father to me . I shared alot of good times with him, when I was a kid. I will miss his jokes and funny laugh and his advice. I love you uncle Al I wish he could have seen all my kids.but in the resurrection he can and I hope we will all be there to greet him back.

My father Randy Als brother wanted me to say that Al was a Ranger Deputy of the Michigan Deputy Ranger Patrol for over 40 years. Al Dryer was the vice President. Allen was a ranger with my dad Randy and wanted to continue helping him after he got well. Now he is at rest and Randy will continue the Legacy on . We all are Rangers in some way.In memmory of MICHIGAN DEPUTY RANGER PATROL GEORGE ALLEN WILSON We will miss you !!!

I was both shocked and saddened to see Al's face and his obituary in the press. I did not know Al personally but he made a sweet impression on everyone he greeted at Sam's club while demonstrating products. I always looked for him to see what goofy headdress he had on or just chat briefly. One would never know he was suffering except I do remember the last time I stopped to get a sample and talk a minute he seemed preoccupied. He was a dear person, my heartfelt sympathies go to his family and fiance.
