George S. Wohlheter, age 93, went to be with his Lord and join his wife of 66 years, June, and daughter, Susan, on Wednesday, May 12, 2021. He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his children George T. (Bernadette) Wohlheter, Sarah (Tim) Laurent, Julie (Louis) Fischer; grandchildren Anthony, Brian (Stacy), Jacob, Griffin (Dana), Maggie, Addison (Joe), Emelie; six great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.
George was an active church member his entire life and helped in the construction of Christ Lutheran Church in Wyoming. He mastered all the levels of Boy Scouts and retired from CSX (Chessie System) Railroad after 43 years. George never met an enemy and made friends across the country. He was a WWII Navy veteran.
Visitation with relatives and friends will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 17, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church, 2350 44th St. SW, Wyoming. Interment is at Winchester Cemetery.
