Gerald N. Nickels

NICKELS - Gerald N. Nickels, age 84, went to be with his Lord, Thursday, December 18, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Nickels Homrich, his granddaughter, Lori Brummel, his sister, Lucille Weidenfeller. Gerald will be lovingly remembered by his children, Gary Jan Nickels, Carol Darrell Dosenberry, Jean Arnie Dukes, Mary Ted Brummel, Ella Jim Bluhm, Amy Scott Sweeney; his 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and his sisters, Edna Weist, Lorena Harry Boersma.

Gerald's family would like to thank the staffs of Byron Manor and Trillium Woods for their loving care.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Gerald's family will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, with a Vigil Service at 8:30 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 9408 Wilson Ave.
