I volunteered at Gilberts workplace, and he was always all smiles and laughter. My favorite memory will always be him threatening to come to my house and turn my chickens into Sunday dinner.

Gil, as I called him, was the sweetest man I know. He was one of my bright spots, while I was clinical manager, and therapist, at The Salvation Army Turning Point.

He was always there to support, and step in when things got crazy. I don’t think there is a client who he couldn’t handle. It’s true, he was loved and respected by all in the recovery community.

I truly enjoyed spending my break times chatting with him, laughing, and talking about anything and everything! He loved when when I ordered him gizzards from Cousins Chicken!!!

Rest peacefully with God, my friend.

You will be missed😇
