Glen Alan Richardson

Glen Richardson, age 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, June 11, 2026. He was preceded in death by his first wife of ten years, Fran. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lois; children Barb (John) Chase, Randy (Louise) Richardson, and Connie (Todd) Spoelma; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; brother, Darl (Betty) Richardson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Growing up, Glen loved his Palomino horse named Tiko. Over the years, he went on several big game hunting trips out west and also to Canada and Alaska. Glen spent 33 years in machine repair at Steelcase. Enthusiastic about riding his bicycle, Glen often cycled to work from his home in Grandville; he passed on this love of bike riding to his kids. He loved his many great family vacations and later on started weeklong reunions that would include crazy Slip 'n Slides in the backyard.

Glen valued the time he spent at Jenison Bible Church where he served as elder and deacon. He also helped out with Vacation Bible School and After School Bible Club. Towards the end of his life, Glen spent 15 years mowing the backlot of church, managing the sprinklers, and trimming trees. Glen loved serving the Lord this way.

A celebration of life service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Jenison Bible Church, 6360 14th Ave., Hudsonville, MI 49426, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. The family welcomes memories and messages at www.cookcaresgrandville.com in their guestbook online.
