Gracia Elna Tower

Gracia Elna Tower, age 101 of Jenison, formerly of Wyoming, had her prayers answered, concluded her earthly journey, and was welcomed into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, September 27, 2022, with her family by her side. Gracia was devoted to the Lord, her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She had a true servant’s heart. She enjoyed volunteer and community work, church roles including being a longtime pianist. She provided the stable home life that allowed her husband and children to flourish. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8 Gracia deeply appreciated the friendships she had and the care that she received at Sunset Manor in the more than 20 years she called Sunset her home. She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Edna Clark; husband, John; siblings Claude Clark, Opal Sutliffe, and Wendell Clark. She is survived by her children Steve (Jan) Tower, Joe (Diane) Tower, and Sue (Mark) Schoonover; grandchildren Eric (Brenda) Tower, Jonathan (Brooke) Tower, Mark (Jessica Shepherd) Tower, Katie (Chris) Huff, Tricia Berends, Jordan Tower, Ellie (Chris) Granlee, Shelby (Chris) Fricke; great-grandchildren Elizabeth, Ashlynn, Luke, Bryan, Lauren Tower, Tucker, Savannah, Finn Huff and CJ Granlee. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2022 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville. Family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, October 1 at Cook Funeral Home (West building) and one hour prior to services Sunday at the Cook Memorial Chapel.
