Greta Van Van Solkema

VAN SOLKEMA - Greta Van Solkema, age 79 of Byron Center, was reunited with her husband in their Heavenly Home, on April 12, 2003. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerrit 'Ki'; son Gary Van Solkema; and brothers Clarence and Henry Brower.

Greta is survived by her children Larry Van Solkema, of Byron Center, Duane Cheryl Van Solkema of Byron Center, Audrey John Carlson of Dowagiac, Douglas Linda Van Solkema of California; eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; sisters and brothers Marian DeYoung, Lucille Bud La Mar, Juella Nelson Van Dam, Joyce Harold Hamburg, Harold Marie Brower, and Harvey Ruth Brower; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday 11 a.m. from the Byron Center First Christian Reformed Church 2450 85th St. with Rev. Thomas K. Groelsema officiating and Rev. John Klompien assisting. The family will meet with relatives and friends Monday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home Byron Center Chapel 2467 84th St..
