Harrietta (Baker) E. Hoogerhyde, age 91, crossed the threshold into eternity Thursday, October 26, 2023. Harrietta was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Burton. She is survived by four children Karen Ann Machiela, Randall James, Steven Robert, and Thomas Carl. Additionally, she is survived by four grandchildren Brent Allan, Mark Robert, Andrew James, Matthew Charles; and five great-grandchildren Tate Robert, Trent Adam, Ty Allan, James Glenn, Etta Ann.
Harrietta was a loving mother who, along with her husband Robert, always placed their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren first. Above all, Harrietta loved the Lord with all her heart, and it was strong faith that helped her navigate through rough waters and see beauty in everyone. Quite often, she would remind us that “the good Lord always hears our prayers, however they are often times not answered the way we want them to be."
