Harrison Richard Owens

Harrison Richard Owens, Jr., age 58, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, February 16, 2012. He was known by his family as Rick, and his co-workers at Comcast, where he worked for 32 years, knew him as Harry. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Dolores; and his sister, Diane. Rick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 32 years, Kathy Owens (Budreau); his children, Edward Owens (Tracey Price), Amanda (John) Owens-White; his grandchildren, Raven Alexander Owens, Cody Richard Owens, Derrick Edward Owens-White; his mother-in-law, Agnes Budreau; and his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Don Budreau, Marge Davis, Jan (Kevin) Clanton, Tom Budreau, Toni (Troy) Wulfekuhl - the sister of his heart. His number one interest in life was his family, and he also enjoyed golf, computer games and sports. Earlier in life, he also loved fishing and hunting. He graduated from Godwin High School. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 PM Monday at Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). Funeral services will be held 2 PM Tuesday at the Cook Memorial Chapel (east building). In honor of Rick, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
