Harvey Oscar Aten

Harvey Aten, age 97, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 8, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Aten; parents Herman and Marie Aten; in-laws Henry and Jenny Poll; great-granddaughter, Taya TerMolen. He is survived by his children Larry Aten, Ruth (Bob) Mesbergen, Ken (Judi) Aten, Greg (Gail) Aten, and Jan (Jim) Aukeman; 16 grandchildren Patrick (Carrie) Aten, Julie (Mike) Mieras, Chris Allen, Kim Smith, Ryan (Rebeka) Mesbergen, Ross (Marilyn) Mesbergen, Alison (Steve) Barjactarovich, Eric (Debora Llorat) Aten, Nikki Coy, Justin (Becky) Aten, Kyle Aten, Melia (Mike) Lowry, Jamie (Jacob) Bode, Jerod (Stacey) Aukeman, Janna (Atsen) Bulus, and Jodie (Joshua) Knot; 47 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Harvey enjoyed camping with his family and hunting. He and Jean spent many years volunteering at Degage Ministries and Mississippi Christian Family Services in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. A special thank you to Harvey’s caregivers from Faith Hospice - Amy, Becky, and Julie, along with the caregivers from Sunset Manor.
