Harvey D. Marlowe

Harvey D. Marlowe, age 81, Agriculture Specialist, Michigan Department of Agriculture, went to be with his Lord on Thursday, June 30, 2011, and joined his loving wife of 55 years, Jean Marie Marlowe (Chapman); his grandson, Miles Patrick Marlowe; and his sister, Nancy Scranton.

Harvey was an Army veteran of the Korean War with an Honorable Discharge in 1955. Harvey (G'pa) will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Michael (Kim), Patrick (Gloria); grandchildren, Nichole (Matt) Alkema, Amber, Luke and Mallory; his siblings, Dennis (Jackie) Marlowe, Janice (Larry) Belanger; his many nieces and nephews; and also his faithful canine companion, Sandy. Harvey graduated from Michigan State University and worked with the Michigan Department of Agriculture for 45 years.

A time for visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday, July 5 at the Cook Funeral Home in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St. SW (west building). Funeral services will be held 1 PM Wednesday at the Cook Memorial Chapel (east building), with visitation prior to the service beginning at 12 PM. Interment will be at Georgetown Cemetery.
