Henry Baker

Henry Baker, age 80, of Jamestown, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, September 26, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerrit and Mary Baker and his sister, Eleanor Baker. Henry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Baker (Osinga); his children, Gail (Ron) Diemer, Suzanne (David) Drew, Douglas (Beth) Baker, Daniel (Julie) Baker, Timothy (Jennifer) Baker; his 14 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and the fourth is on the way; his siblings, Jerene Baker, Dr. Robert (Vivian) Baker; and his brother-in-law, Benton (Linda) Osinga. Henry lived his whole life working and living on Star Summit Farms. He was part of the Farm Bureau and on the Jamestown Township Zoning Board. Henry was President of the Michigan Holstein Association. He served as a Deacon and an Elder at Jamestown Christian Reformed Church. A time for relatives and friends to visit with Henry's family will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 PM Sunday at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 - 84th St. SW. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, October 1, at Jamestown Christian Reformed Church, 1653 Riley, with visitation prior to the service beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be at Star Cemetery. In honor of Henry, contributions may be made to Faith Hospice or Jamestown Christian Reformed Church - Mission Fund.
