Born on December 21, 1954, Gary Alofs was welcomed into the arms of his loving Savior August 17, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents Gaylord and Bena Alofs; wife, Laura Alofs; son, Matthew Alofs; and grandson, Cohen Kelly. He will be missed deeply and lovingly remembered by his daughters Jennifer (Brett) Jackson, Amanda (Daran) Deemter, Heather (Jon) O'Neil, Lacy (Nathan) Kelly, and Jamie Hernandez; grandkids Tristan Bestwick and Madeline Jackson, Carter, Natalee, and Beckett Deemter, Hayleigh and Layla O'Neil, and Remi Jo Kelly who will always cherish the memories of their "Papa" and the joy and laughter he brought into their lives.
Gary was a lover of golf, travel, baking and cooking, music, work, his country, and his kids. He fiercely loved his grandkids and especially his sweetheart of 33 years, Laura. He was one of a kind with his sarcastic wit, terrible dad puns, and patriotic heart and soul. He worked hard for all he gave his kids and grandkids and never once complained. Hard work was his love language.
The daughters would like to thank the friends and family for all of your love and support over the last two and a half years. They feel so blessed to have each and every one of you to walk beside them on this hard journey of grief and loss.
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Rev. 21:4
