James Paul Benedict

Jim enjoyed spending time with family, sailing, hunting and fishing.

He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Nina Benedict; and brother Marvin Benedict. Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carole Lowing; two sons, Jim Benedict, Mike Cindy Benedict; daughter, Patti Mike Corner; grandchildren, Dan and Kenny Corner, Michael, Amanda and Ashley Benedict. Also surviving are brother, Henry Pat Benedict; sister Wilma Benedict; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Friday 1 p.m. at the Cook Memorial Chapel east building, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville with Pastor Roy Osborn of Temple United Methodist Church officiating. Interment Kent Memorial Gardens. The family will meet with relatives and friends Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. from the Cook Funeral Home west building. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan or the American Cancer Society.
