James Fred Duncan

DUNCAN - James “Jim” Duncan, aged 73, born August 29, 1934, died January 5, 2008 at Faith Hospice - Trillium Woods in Byron Center, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents Fred & Esther Duncan and his sister Charlotte McKinzie.

Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Audrey “Sam” Duncan; his sons Bill Linda Duncan of Manchester, MO, Steve Deborah Carlson of East Moline, IL; his foster daughter, Angel Stone of Flint, MI; his grandchildren Erica Scott Newton, Adam Lauren Duncan, Jessica Carlson, Reagan Carlson, Alex Miller; his great grandchildren Savannah Duncan, Simone Duncan; his brothers Paul Jan Duncan of East Moline, IL, Lloyd Chris Duncan of Hampton IL, his sisters Betty Matt Armstrong of Rochelle, IL, Reva Richard Lee of Moline IL; his brother-in-law Ken McKinzie of East Moline, IL; and multiple nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law and many friends.

Jim worked for GM/Delphi in Grand Rapids, MI as a Millwright, retiring in 2004. A time for relatives and friends to visit with Jim’s family will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, January 10, at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 - 84th St. SW. Entombment will be at Rosedale Memorial Park.
