James (Jim) A. Miller, age 83 of Wyoming, Michigan, died Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at University of Michigan Health-West Hospital, Wyoming, MI. He was born December 9, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio, son of the late Clyde and Florence Miller. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis A. Miller; daughter, Beth Miller and her husband, John Ruskowski of Comstock Park ,MI; son, Richard Miller of Detroit, MI; two stepsons Dave Rickert and his wife, Kristi of Rockford, MI, Chris Rickert and his wife, Rhonda of Dorr, MI; stepdaughter, Kathy Rickert of Cutlerville, MI; one sister, Gwen Grubb and her husband, Ron of Sykesville, MD; numerous nieces and nephews; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Zink and her husband, Fred of Pittsburgh, PA.
Jim enjoyed many hobbies: flying, fishing, and his favorite pastime, playing golf.
Family and friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, January 21 at the Cook Memorial Chapel. At 11 a.m., a memorial service will begin, with Pastor Mike Baynai officiating. A private interment will be held in the Ashley Cemetery, Grattan, MI.
