Mr. James Edward Sweers, age 92, went to be with his Lord Sunday, November 6, 2016. Jim was born December 9, 1923 in Grand Rapids to Edward and Frances (Brinks) Sweers.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 69 years, Ruth Sweers; children, Jan (Patrick) Clancy, Linda (Ron) Phillips, and Ron (Sue) Sweers; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother and sister, Willard Sweers, and Marylin DeGroot; sister-in-law, Marilyn Sweers; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Fran Potter.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie SW, Grandville. Interment will be at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet his family Wednesday from 10-11 AM at the funeral home.
