

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Rebecca Van Houten; children Cathy (Cory Capestany) Baumer, Debbie (Tony) Huisman, Pam (Danny) Charles, Tim (Brandi) Van Houten, Robbie Van Houten, Amanda Van Houten; 17 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; siblings Fred (Pat) Van Houten, Linda (Mike) Conran, Tom (Dorothy) Van Houten, David (Sue) Van Houten; mother Jenny Squires; father-in-law Harrison Gale; and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. James retired from Keebler/Kellogg after 43 years of service.
Visitation with the family will be held 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Cook Funeral Home (East Building), 4235 Prairie St., S.W., Grandville. Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Georgetown Bible Church, 4114 Baldwin, Hudsonville, MI, with visitation one hour prior to service starting at 10 A.M. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery, Monday, at 1 P.M.
