Jane Ellen Prins (Klein)

Jane will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 43 years, Ron Prins; her children Kerri and Jason Maas, Katie and Erin McCarthy, Chris and Katie Prins, Kevin and Janet Prins; her grandchildren Kyla, Josiah, and Stella Maas, Sophia, Abby, Avery, and Jake Prins, Margaret Jane and Caleb Prins; her mother-in-law, Fran Prins; her siblings Janice and Bill Beatty and Judie Sechrest; Ron’s siblings Gary and Lori Prins, Greg and Crystal Prins, Laurie and Mike Thomas, Jeff and Micki Prins; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Jane’s love for her husband, children, grandchildren and friends was only surpassed by her love for Jesus Christ, which was abundantly evident in the way she lived her life. She took great joy in teaching second grade for many years at Calvin Christian School in Escondido, California. Jane enjoyed traveling, cooking, walking on the beach, hospitality, time with friends, and planning activities with her children and grandchildren. Jane volunteered at Buist Community Assistance Center and enjoyed being active in her church.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Jane’s family will be held from 4 to 7 PM Thursday at Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 – 84th St. SW. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, February 9, 2018 at Harvest Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 930 52nd St. SW in Wyoming, Michigan. Rev. Dale Van Dyke and Dr. W. Robert Godfrey will officiate. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery.
