She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan December 19, 1942 the daughter to Warren and Helen (DeYoung) Boetsma.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law Ron and Dee Boetsma; and two sisters Betty Franco and Dawn Porter.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Lawrence Scott; her daughters Jodi (Michael) Wszolek, Julie (Dennis) Weston; her grandchildren Joshua (Hayley), Alexander, Dana (Justin), Christian, Courtney (Jake) and James; great-grandchildren Isaac, Tucker and Isabela; her brother, George Chapman as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
A private family interment will be at Kent Memorial Gardens.
