Jared grew up in a loving household in Grandville, Michigan, and resided in West Michigan his entire life. He and his sisters, Laura and Erica, have always been very close. He graduated from Grandville High School and obtained an associate degree from GRCC. He was a magnetic force, making friends everywhere he went, from building goat pens on a trip to Haiti as a young boy, to making lifelong friends with an Australian couple while touring Roman ruins.
Jared grew as a person for 17 years working for Costco, moving up from cart pushing to managing several departments during COVID, but his heart always lay with supervising the membership desk, where he met some of his best friends to this day.
Jared was a man of many passions, depending on the season of his life. He was someone who would try anything once and encouraged his loved ones to live by this mantra as well. He loved music, writing, working out, being a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan and loving others. His radiant spirit shone through his smile and the little crinkle in his eyes when he was happy. He was most happy spending time with his family and cuddling with his fiancée Annie, and his three cats, Quincy, Atticus, and Remington. This year was going to be filled with great excitement, as Jared was starting the next chapter in his life with a new career and planning a wedding with Annie, something they had been anticipating for the decade they were together. He proudly called her “wife” to all of his friends, and he leaves her behind confident that he was the love of her life. Jared will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Jared is preceded in death by his grandparents Russell and Virginia Strom; grandfather, Roger Tuinstra; cousin, Benjamin Herman; and close friend, Joe Bloomstrom.
