

On March 30, 2022, Jeanie Marsman, age 88 of Grandville, passed away, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born December 24, 1933 and lived a remarkable life, leaving all who knew her of the importance of family, humor, truth, and belief. She was preceded in death by her brother, Patrick and in 1978 by David K. Phelps, her husband of 29 years. Together, they had four children who all survive her passing - Nancy Cooper, Greg Phelps, Kathy Reid, and Ken Phelps. She was also preceded in death by Harold Marsman, her husband of 15 years, and by son-in-law, David Hensch. In addition to her children, she is survived by her sons-in-law Craig Cooper and Dan Reid; daughters-in-law Collen Phelps and Carol Phelps; grandchildren Michelle Cooper, Shawn Cooper, Jason Cooper, Mark Hensch, Matthew Hensch, Nicholas Hensch, Andrew Hensch, Justin Phelps, Julia Holz, and Kennedy Phelps; six great-grandchildren Logan, Aiden, Chloe, Liam, Max, and Noah; half brother, Tracey; and half sisters Connie and Roxy.
A private memorial service will be held April 9, 2022. The family wishes to extend its deepest thanks to the caring staff at Georgetown and Cambridge Manor in Grandville for the wonderful love and care they provided Jeanie in her final years, and coordinating so wonderfully with hospice and its loving practitioners.
