Jerrie Ann Garvin, born August 7, 1952, age 71, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Jerrie was preceded in death by her parents Edwin and Joan Shaffer. She will be remembered by her husband, David; children Ben (Ann Marie) and Matt (Taylor); three grandchildren Emma Grace, Eli Grey, and Bentley. She is survived by her three brothers Don (Patty), Ed, Greg (Gail), and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jerrie worked for over 30 years as a special education teacher in the Wyoming school district and was a Sunday school teacher at Wyoming Park United Methodist. She loved camping, nature, and was devoted to watching her grandkids activities, like sports and dance. She enjoyed playing games, puzzles, reading and spending time with friends.
Visitation with friends and relatives will take place from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Wyoming Park United Methodist Church, 2244 Porter St. SW, Wyoming, MI 49519. A memorial celebration of Jerrie’s life will commence at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Wyoming Park United Methodist Church.
