

Jerry Lee Timmer, age 82, went to be with his Lord Saturday, December 27, 2025, in his home with family at his bedside in Jenison, Michigan. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys; parents Harold and Velma Timmer. He will be greatly missed by his children Michelle (Paul Gualdoni) Timmer, Bruce (Christine) Timmer, and Kyle Timmer; grandchildren Nathan, Zachary, Micayla, and Matthew; siblings; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jerry served in the United States Army for two years during Vietnam. Just weeks after his discharge in October, 1966 he married the love of his life, Gladys. He worked many years for Alloy Tek in Grandville until its closure. He continued his work in aerospace quality control at Jedco, Inc. in Grand Rapids until retirement. His retirement winters were spent building remote control airplanes which he flew in the summertime. When not traveling, he and Gladys enjoyed time with their family, especially their grandchildren. Jerry delighted in life’s simple blessings. Family, cats, and sharing memories from his life were constant sources of smiles and laughter.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, January 12, 2026 at Cook Memorial Chapel, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. prior to service.
