Jerry Van Ess

Jerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Judy; children Jerry Jr. (Barbara) Van Ess, Allan (Angela) Van Ess, and Amy (Tim Sr.) Freeman; grandchildren Kristin (Jason) Quales, Kaylynne Miesen, Ali (Steven) Doty, Luke, Jake, Kate, Lily Van Ess, Cody, Colin, and Timmy Freeman; three great-grandchildren Kourtnee, Lance and Hana; brother Ron (Francis) Van Ess and sisters, Nancy and Diane; and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry honorably served his country in the U.S. Army from 1956-58. He worked for Steelcase for 34 years.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St., S.W., Grandville. The family will receive guests two hours prior to the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
