She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Patterson. She is survived by her children, Rob Patterson and Sandy (Brian) Gort; brothers-in-law Carl and Dick Patterson; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces; and many brothers and sisters in Christ at Grace Reformed Church.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Joan’s church of 52 years, Grace Reformed Church, 3330 Burlingame, S.W., Wyoming, MI, with Pastor Rick Oppenhuizen officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St., S.W., Grandville, and one hour prior to services at church on Tuesday.
