Joanne Marie Suydam, age 67, passed away at home while surrounded by her family on Wednesday, January 4, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Kibby and Ernestine Painter; sister, Veronica; and brother, Thomas. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 45 years, William Joseph Suydam Jr.; children Mark (Megan) Suydam, Jessica (Richard) Nolan, Joey Suydam; grandchildren Jaesek, Brantley, Ashley, Jacob; sisters Krisi, Rose; and many extended family and friends.
Joanne enjoyed reading and especially loved spending time with her family. She always made sure her home had an “open door,” welcoming in everyone she met. She loved to cook and bake, spending a lot of time in the kitchen. She enjoyed her years working at Spectrum Health. She will be missed by all.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418, with visitation from 3 - 4:45 p.m. prior to the service.
