I will never forget Mr. Bekkering playing softball with us during noon hour on the basketball court at Millbrook Christian School. Back in the early 60's Millbrook had no gym. During the winter he drove the bus to Bowen School for the girls and boys. He coached the boys playing basketball and the girls had someone from Calvin College helping them.

I just loved singing in the Choir with him. Listening to Solos singing his heart out to the Lord. He never missed a function at the church, he was always there with a wonderful smile on his face. Never missed a Bible class either. I But will see him again. I am sorry Julie for your loss. I Love you, Ann Maki

I treasure the memory of standing next to him in the tenor section of MacPherson’s choir. He has a great tenor voice and was always a pleasure to be around.
