All of my life I would love to go to the farm. I'd know I would find Uncle Neil and Uncle John working together somewhere. It was always nice to see Uncle John and his friendly smile. I'm going to miss seeing him at the farm - it won't be the same without him.
 I'm glad he had a wonderful life doing what made him happy and I look forward to seeing him again in paradise when he will be able to hear me! Our condolences to his family ... especially Uncle Neil.

John Cole was not just my fafher-in-law; he was my best friend. Every Sunday my wife and I and her sister and husband would get together at Dad's and play cards, and eat dinner. We all loved him dearly, and will miss him for the rest of our lives.

WE HAVE KNOWN JOHN FOR MANY YEARS. FROM A HARD WORKING FARMER TO A FISHING BUDDY TO MY DAD. WE ALL HAVE ENJOYED HIS COMPANY WHERE EVER WE WERE; FROM PICKING GRAPEFRUIT FROM OUR TREE IN FLA. TO VISITING US IN TN. WHEN WE VISITED HIM; WE ALL SAT IN HIS BASEMENT TALKING ABOUT HOW WE ALL BECAME FRIENDS. WE EVEN TALKED ABOUT HIS PARENTS. THEN HE SHOWED US 2 HORSES AND A COACH HE MADE IN REPLICIA OF HOW HIS PARENTS GOT AROUND. HE WANTED US TO HAVE IT. I WILL ALWAYS CHERRISH IT. IT SETS IN A WINDOW OF OUR HOUSE. JOHN WILL BE MISSED BY US ALL AS OUR VERY GOOD FRIEND.

Really sorry to hear that John has passed away. He truly was a good life long friend to us and our family. My parents and John and Bertha were neighbors in Grand Rapids Michigan before I was born in 1952. He was always full of laughter and joy. On our honeymoon from Florida, we stopped by to see John and Bertha. We brought them a watermelon. They loved to have fresh picked Watermelon. While there, we went to the chicken coop to gather eggs, walked their farm and reminisced of the old times. Evan after Bertha had passed away, John came to Florida quite often and visited with us. It was always good to see him. He lived a good long life and will truly be missed. To John's family I convey my complete condolences.

I have so many fond memories of my Uncle John. I worked with him as a boy growing up many times on the Cole family farm. He always had a warm smile and laughter in his eyes. I regret not having seen him as much as I would have liked in these past years. I will miss him. His nephew Nile Cole

MY MEMORIES OF JOHN ARE WHEN I WAS UNDER 12 YEARS OLD. I'VE KNOWN JOHN AND BERTHA ALL MY LIFE. I ALWAYS LOVED TO GO TO THIER HOUSE TO PLAY WITH NOREEN & LAVONNE. JOHN LET ME RIDE ONE OF THIER HORSES. I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIM FOR THAT. WE SEEN JOHN A FEW YEARS AGO IN TENN. HE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON HIS FACE. HE WAS ALWAYS SO HAPPY. IT WAS SO GOOD TO SEE HIM.  Judy and I And Hermina VanKampen, would like to offer our sincere condolences for your loss of John. He was a kind and gentle man. Judy remembers him when she was a young girl when Hermina would send her to buy eggs for their family. I remember him when he stored our boat in the old chicken house behind their home. We've been John and Neils neighbors for over 30 years and we will miss him..

When I think about my Uncle John, feelings of gratitude come to me. I was always greeted with cheerful smiles. He graciously made me feel so welcome as his niece. I was even able to feel a connection to my Dad through Uncle John when I visited him after my Dad's passing. It was good to talk to Uncle John last summer. We had a connection when we watered the fruit trees together. Other times he showed me his models in his basement that he had made. He was happy to share his hobby, and I was glad to listen to him. I'm grateful to have seen him in March. Families are forever, we will see each other again.

I have known John since I was a little boy and we stayed in touch throughout the years. I will always remember his smile and the days we used to go fishing when I was a kid. Another thing I will remember is that no matter the situation he never had a unkind word to say. I can picture John and Bertha together in Heaven with my mom and dad talking about oldtimes and farming. He will truly be missed and our hearts go out to the family.

Dear Noreen, I am sorry that I didn't make it to the funeral home to express my sympathy at the death of your dad. So I send you my prayers and thoughts as you grieve the death of your dad. Grieving is never esay but we have a God who cares for you during this time of grieving. So don't rush the grieving process. Let the grief to come and God will be there to comfort you.
 Death is just another step along life's changing way, No more than just a gateway to a new and better day. 
 And parting from our loved ones is much easier to bear, When we know that they are waiting for us to join them there. 
 So death is just a natural thing like the closing of a door, As we start upon a journey to a new and distant shore,
