Mr and Mrs DeJong,
 I lost my daughter 15 years ago and I know what your loss is.
 I will miss John at Colon. I've looked forward to seeing him each year. I'm glad that last year he was able to attend both the Get-Together and his high school reunion. He felt he might not make the next one.

I thought you'd be around forever. Thank you for being around as I grew up, even if it Was only one week a year. We knew John for quite a long time.We first met him at the Abbott's Magic Convention. He & I used to talk over the Internet all the time late at night after midnight. He was truly one of the nicest guys I have ever known. He will surely be missed by everyone who ever met him. He was a great Christian man. John had a positive effect on anyone who ever met him.He was loved by all.

I was so sad to see that "Big"John had passed away. Although I have not seen him in many years, I have many great memories of him. I first met John when you as a family would come to Fourth Church in Holland to visit. My next memory is of meeting John at Cran Hill Ranch in its very early days and all the fun we had there. I met John when he started consulting at a company that I worked for. I first noticed his height. As I got to know John, I found a very unassuming man who had a heart as big as all out doors. He was a shining example of no matter what state he was, he was content. I enjoyed getting to know John, his diversity of intererest, music, magic tec... his sense of humor, his great ability to develope a repour sp? with everybody. I moslty appreciated his deep devotion to Jesus Christ. I will miss him, but greatly look forward to seeing him again in Glory!!
