John Edward Potjer

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Nickels) Potjer and granddaughter Sydney.

He is survived by his wife Patricia Molenkamp Potjer; his children, Tim (Kami) Potjer, Laura (Jeff) Reminga and Julia McLeod; step-children, Robert (Teri) Molenkamp, MeriBeth (Steve) Rusticus, Amy (Wayne) DeVrou and Kim Woody, 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; siblings Eleanor (Bill) Tyson, Carl (Mary) Potjer, Tom (Emily) Potjer, Carol (Dick) Waldnor; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

John proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. One of his greatest joys was meeting and greeting his customers and friends.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Fair Haven Ministries Church, 2900 Baldwin, Hudsonville, Michigan. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St., S.W. and one hour prior to services Saturday at Church.
