John Thomas Shaw

John Thomas Shaw died trusting in the Grace of his Heavenly Father on July 2nd, age 64 of natural causes at his home in Wayland, Michigan where he'd lived for approximately 50+ years. John was an athlete at Wayland High School and had an interest in all things motorcycle, snowmobile, hunting and hot rod related. He enjoyed growing up with his best friend Tim Thomas, and enjoyed countless hours on the Thomas family farm. He developed deep rooted relationships with friends and was committed to never betraying those friendships by leaving the area. Those friendships returned that love in compassionate ways in the last few weeks of his life and for that the whole family thanks all of you.

John was a compassionate son, brother, father and friend and was known to do anything he could to help his friends, children and community.

John was preceded in death by his parents James and Georgia Shaw and is survived by his children Jessica (Eric, Regan and Aurora) Sankey, Jamie (Amber & Ophelia Genther) Bender, Ashley (Bobby, Autumn, Cheyenne, Stella & Robby) Willis, and his sisters and brother Janet (Patrick) Lipzinski, Sharron Clay and Roy (Anne-Therese) Shaw and their families.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 14th, 2018 from 1pm-5pm at the VFW Hall located at 735 S Main St, Wayland, MI 49348
