John R. Steenstra

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Steenstra; and parents George and Mary Steenstra.

He will be remembered by his son, Brent (Sue) DeHaan; grandchildren Colten (Ashley Schaendorf) DeHaan and Connor DeHaan; sisters JoAnn Steenstra and Barb (Stan) Drenth; aunt Joan (Rog) Monsma; and many friends.

John loved to be outside whether mowing grass or fishing with family or friends. He loved his country and was proud to be an Army veteran.

Visitation with relatives and friends will be held from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2018 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th Street, Byron Center, MI 49315. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 with visitation one hour prior, at Cook Funeral Home, Byron Center. Pastor Stan Drenth will be officiating. Interment will be at Forest Grove Cemetery.
