John Van Eerden Jr.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Jane Van Eerden; sisters Ann Vanden Berg, Winnie Post, and Ruth Fryling.

He will be remembered by his wife Laura Van Eerden; children Kim (Dan) Boerman, Laurie (Doug) O’Dell, Mike (Chris) Van Eerden, Brian (Rhonda) Van Eerden; grandchildren Brad (Tara) Boerman, Michelle (Mark) Zwyghuizen, Rebecca (Donnie) Trish, Rachel O’Dell, Jonathan, Jordan (Kelsey), Zachary, Taran, Alyssa, Kyle and Aubrey Van Eerden; eight great-grandchildren: sisters Gladys (Sid) Draayer, Joanne (Melven) Gezon; brother-in-law Melvin Fryling; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 - 84th Street, S.W., Byron Center, MI. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 with visitation one hour prior from 10:30 -11:30 a.m. at Second Byron Christian Reformed Church, 7588 Byron Center Ave., S.W., Byron Center, MI. Pastor Adam Nordyke will be officiating. Interment will be at Winchester Cemetery.
