He was preceded in death by his wife W. Maxine Zomerlei Gentry; his parents Joseph & Anna Zomerlei.

Jack will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jack Lynda Zomerlei Jr., Barb Fred Goorhouse, Joe Sue Zomerlei, Deb Randy Newenhouse of OK, Randy Tracy Zomerlei; his 11 grandchildren; his 6 great grandchildren; and his siblings, Robert Dupree, Rose Scharphorn, Carl JoAnn Zomerlei, Mary Zomerlei, Paul Carol Zomerlei.

A time for relatives and friends to visit with Jack's family will be held from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Cook Funeral Home in Byron Center, 2067 84th St. SW. Funeral service will be held, with military honors, 11 a.m. Wednesday at Woodhaven Reformed Church, 3959 68th St. SW.
