Joseph M. Kauffman

KAUFFMAN, Joseph M., age 60, of Grandville passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Lenora; his children Erin and Ed Collazo, Lee Anne Kauffman, and Kirk Kauffman; his beloved grandchildren, Zion Joseph and Micah Anne; his parents, Merle R. and Stefanie Kauffman; sisters Trudy Kauffman and Stephanie Darlene Hill; brother Robert Kauffman; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Those who knew and loved 'Papa Joe' will cherish many fun memories of MSU tailgate parties, tromping through the woods hunting morel mushrooms, golf outings, water polo weekends, and family vacations.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the Cook Memorial Chapel, 4235 Prairie Street east building, Grandville, with Pastor Rob Dorow officiating. Friends and family will gather for an hour before the service to share stories and laughter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the DeVos Children's Hospital where Papa Joe was Santa to many children.
