Joseph “Joey” Henry Kelly IV, age 55, passed away unexpectedly due to medical complications on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at his home in Wyoming, Michigan. Joey enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, and listening to Madonna, as well as attending her concerts. Joey loved spending time with his good friend, Kelley, and her son, Josh. Together, they had many adventures. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Joey will be deeply missed by his mother, Betty Kelly; brothers Scott Kelly, Patrick (Katie) Kelly; niece, Kalaina; nephews Collin, Eli; feline friend, Indee; and numerous aunts, uncles, extended family, and friends. Joey was preceded in death by his father, Joe Kelly III; maternal grandparents Frank and Myrtle Bauman; paternal grandparents Joe and Anne Kelly; aunt, Annie Damveld; uncle, Fred Bauman; and cousin, Jennene Kelly.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish, 2700 Baldwin St., Jenison, MI 49428, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Joey will be laid to rest next to his father at Georgetown Cemetery. In memory of Joey and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
