
He is preceded in death by his wife Lucille. He was a devoted father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his children, Joseph Vogt Jr., Bob and Nancy Vogt, Mike Vogt and Deb Burrows, Steve and Dawn Vogt, Bill and Rhonda Vogt, Karen and Jim Bala, Kevin Vogt, Ben and Ed Vogt, Mary and Mike Modreske, Janette and Jim Jackobs, JoAnn and Tim Andres, LuAnn and Doug Rodanhisler, David Vogt and Gloria Vogt; 27 grandchildren; sister Sandy and Norbert Rewa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Chuck Waleszkiewicz, Norm Weber, Jim Koza, Bernice Koza, Eleanor Noordhoek, Dolly and Tony Trapani, Pat and Bill Bradford, Jean Koza and Irene Natali.
Joseph served in the Army Air Corp in WWII. He was a lifelong farmer and worked for 37 years for Furniture City Upholstery as a carpenter/wood carver.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church with Fr. Richard Altine celebrant. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday and Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St, Byron Center. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery.
