Josephine Stroven (VanBeek)

STROVEN - Josephine Stroven (VanBeek), age 87 of Wyoming died on Thursday, November 7, 2013, passing from our arms into God's arms. She is preceded in death by her parents Herman and Frances VanBeek; brothers Willie, Carl and Richard; sisters, Gertrude, Marilyn and Shirley Jean; and sister-in-law Lois VanBeek.

She is survived by her friend and loving daughter Jackie (Glen) Groeneweg; grandchildren Wendy (Larry) Brocker, Becky Bobo "her special buddy," Jeremy (Lindsay) Bobo, Matt (Jennifer) Groeneweg; great grandchildren Joey, Kaylee, Tyler and Evan; brother-in-law Bob Hoeksema, sister-in-law Lavina VanBeek; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was a woman of great faith and loved her Lord. She had a loving heart and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed by all those that knew her. She always had time to play puzzles and games with her great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday at Harvest Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 930 - 52nd St., Wyoming, MI, with Pastor Dale Vandyke officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 2 - 5 pm at the Grandville Cook Funeral Home, 4235 Prairie St., Grandville (West building). Burial will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Lamont, MI. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcares.com.
