GOD SMILING AT ME
 I’ve found a place where I can be free. I’ve found a whole new beginning just made for me.
 I know only peace and I never feel pain. Days are full of sunshine and never the rain.

I have so many fond memories of Aunt Jo. From Thanksgiving dinners at her house, to other large family functions in the back yard, she always made everyone feel welcome in her presence. Perhaps the fondest memory is the week she kept me out of trouble by staying with me while my parents vacationed in the Bahamas. I was in 9th grade and extremely jealous that I didn't get to take a tropical vacation. Aunt Jo went out of her way to make sure my week was as fun as possible. Home cooked meals, letting me have friends over every night of the week and just being an all out caring member of my family. Thanks for everything!

Psalm 116:15 "Precious (as in watched over) in the sight of the Lord, is the death of his saints" She went to be with her Lord on Easter! How awesome is that!!! Jo should have had a y on the end of her name. She was always kind to us all. She valued her family and was very proud of them. Soon we will see her again. Hallelujah! Amen.

Of all my friends' mothers, Jo was probably the kindest and most cheerful. Her smile was ever present, and she always seemed to know how to make you feel cared about. I will remember her fondly. My heart goes out to you, Joyce, and to the rest of the family.

I never had the pleasure of meeting her, but her wonderful son Steve DeJong has become a very good friend and neighbor. She raised some good kids!

 It is such a comfort to know where you are. You accepted me into your family, and made me feel a part of it. I loved the times we spent together-soccer games, Fredrick Meijer Gardens, Jason's concerts and school functions, birthdays, holidays, just because days. You were a wonderful mother-in-law. I miss you already, but know that we will meet again!
