Joyce Meyerink

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norval Meyerink; her son, Gerald Meyerink; her parents, George and Lorene Heibel; and her siblings Ken Heibel, Lloyd Heibel, and Carol Persons. She will be lovingly remembered by her children Karen (James) Montgomery, Sherry (Steve) Nugent, Norva (Tim) Vander Wiere, and Patti (Scott) Smith; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters Theola Andrews, Donna Ahrens, Shirley Thurkettle, Patricia Cooley, Marilyn Dewey, Lorraine Olejniczak; brothers and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Heibel, Doug (Maraline) Meyerink, Roger Meyerink, Eljean Van Wiltenburg; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Joyce was a dedicated mother who treasured her family and embraced every moment with them. She had a spunky personality and was often called the Energizer bunny. Her contagious smile would light up a room. She will be deeply missed and is forever in our hearts.

Visitation with the family will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building) with visitation from 10 - 10:45 a.m. prior to the service.

In memory of Joyce and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan.
