Kim & Family...............my sincere condolences on the passing of your mom, Juanita. I worked with her at 911 Spring St in Petoskey until she moved downstate. Your mom was quite the gal....long painted fingernails, a cup of tea every morning and a "dumb shit" response for everything. She sure was a beautiful woman, inside and out. I was just thinking about her the other day....wondering how she was doing. Now I know. Kimmy, take care and cherish those memories!!!!! Judy

Dear Kim and Rene: I was so shocked and saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. My mother called me last night and told me. I hadn't known she was ill. Mom said she thought she'd told me but I'd have remembered something like that. Your Mom was always so special to me, especially growing up. She always had beautiful hand-me-downs I loved getting when I was in high school. I missed not seeing any of you at last family reunion. Carrie sure looked great; she was our Piehl family matriarch.  So sorry to hear about your mom. I have only seen her a couple of times since she moved downstate but I always missed not seeing her at Nana & Papa's house. Your mom will be in my prayers. You two take care.

Rene and Kim, Please accept my condolences on the passing of your mother. I worked with your mom at the Petoskey unemployment office in the 70s. I remember her laughter and dry sense of humor. She used to get us all going with her stories. Many times during the day we'd be in fits & giggles over something she said. I, too, remember her "dumb shit" comment. Jackie Adams

 I read in the paper of your mom's passing. Even though it has been some time since I have seen her, I remember going to your house and visiting with her and your grandma. I always knew, Rene', where you got your crazy sense of humor! I hope that she didn't suffer, and I hope that you will always keep the happy memories close to your heart. Her visit to our home on 10/16/2005 will be cherished forever. She had become such a good friend to both of us during all the Saturday nights she was part of the group that followed the band Steve'swhile Kim would babysit our children. We will always remember all of those good times together. Our last good bye's were a hug, I love you and blowing kisses to one another as she drove away. What a Great way to remember Aunt Juanie

Hi again Kim and Rene. I checked to see what other messages were in here and saw Vicki's reference to video. I must say it brought tears to my eyes. I remember so many of those stages. I watched her ride on the centennial float with Shirley on the other side. She was always a beautiful lady, even in her latter years. The one with NaNa was typical; NaNa always had a little one in her arms. Those were treasures; I hope you got a copy for your children. Love, Bev
