Judi Lyn Tieri
June 15, 1951 – November 22, 2021
Judi Lyn Tieri (Brink), age 70 of Jenison, MI, peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, November 22, 2021, surrounded by her loved ones.
Judi graduated from Calvin Christian High School in 1969 and worked for many years at Blodgett Hospital as well as Calvin College. Whether it was walking, running, or biking, Judi loved being active. She had a huge heart and passion for helping others and was always the first to step in and lend a hand to whomever was in need. She spent countless hours volunteering at Kids Hope, Young Life, and Starlight Ministries. Judi loved to bake and was well known for her many delicious treats. She had an infectious laugh and the most beautiful blue eyes that everyone would comment on. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Judi was preceded in death by her parents Gerald and Mary Brink; in-laws Justin and Carol Tieri; and three brothers-in-law Dale Goorhouse, Jerry Nelson, and Ron Grasman. Judi will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years, Ronald Tieri; children Jason (Meaghan) Tieri, Megan Tieri Fenyoe, Nicole (Julian) Cornell; seven grandchildren Nolte Cunningham, Avery and Sullivan Tieri, Dashiell, Whitaker, Truman, and Cordelia Cornell; five sisters Marilyn (Ron) Grasman, Janice (Randy) Hart, Linda (Dave) Rhoda, Shirlene Leigh, Mary (Mark) McClear; and one sister-in-law, Connie (Jerry) Nelson; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to acknowledge the thoughtful and compassionate care provided to Judi for the past four years by the staff at Brookcrest Rehab and Life Center.
A Memorial Visitation and Celebration of Judi’s Life will take place in June 2022 at Cook Funeral Home, 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. In honor of Judi and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brookcrest Rehab and Life Center (3400 Wilson Ave. SW, Grandville, MI 49418), Emmanuel Hospice (401 Hall St SW #263, Grand Rapids, MI 49503), or Alzheimer’s Association. There is so much I could write about Judi! She chose me for a friend way back when our kids were just babies. In fact, she showed up with a candy bar for me when I was birthing my youngest, because she had called to check on me when I was in labor, and I told her I was starving. She was thoughtful, kind and caring, and she was also carrying a load of pain from her first family that she faced every day, and fought hard to not allow it to steal her joy, or negate the blessings she counted in her life. She was tempermental and wise, fearful and courageous, struggling, yet so faithful to God, and now she's with Him...triumphant! Gosh I have missed her energy, her insight, and her laughter, but I could not be more delighted that she is present with the Lord, surrounded by the Love that completes her, and finally fully at peace.

Ray and I are saddened to hear about Judy. Our thoughts go back to the years our familys attended Friendship Chapel together and friendships we had along the way, good memories! Judy was such a bubbly gal and her energy and kindness was infectious. Our prayers are with your family and we know we will see Judy again someday in Heaven. The thought of Judy being totally healed in Heaven, is a comfort and joy to us all.
Our love, Ray, Pat and Tim West

I would like to express my sympathy to all of you on the passing of Judi. You probably don’t remember me but I am Sandy Calsbeek and I went to Hope church with you. Judi was our family babysitter when I was younger. I was shocked to read her obituary.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
