Justin R Van Van Houdt

VAN HOUDT Justin R Van Houdt, age 34, of Jamestown, passed away very unexpectedly Monday Oct. 21, 2013. Justin is survived by his wife and best friend, Alaina (Walton), his daughters Madelyn and Alivia, and his infant son Rylan. He is also survived by his parents, Rudy & Terrie Van Houdt of Grandville, and his brother, Nathan & Danielle Van Houdt, and sister, Karrie Van Houdt and grandmother Ruth Mersman. Justin will be sadly missed by his mother-in-law, Kathy and Kevin Egan, and his father-in-law, Pat Walton and Marie Howe, his brother-in-law, Blake Walton as well as many cherished friends.

Justin graduated from Grandville High School in 1997, and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from Davenport University. Justin worked for CSX Railroad for 14 years. He also took great pride in his work as an Officer for the United Transportation Union. Justin was a beloved husband, caring father, and loyal friend.

Visitation with the family will be held from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM Friday, October 25th at Cook Memorial Chapel in Grandville, 4235 Prairie St SW (east building). Funeral services will be held 6 PM Saturday at Cook Memorial Chapel on Saturday October 26th. Interment will be at Jamestown Cemetery. In honor of Justin, contributions may be made to a fund for his children's education at Fifth Third Bank - FBO Justin Van Houdt.
