I met Casey (Keith) in 1982 through his sons Denny and Mike who were my college roommates at MSU.  During the next few (college) years, I got to know Casey and Jean casually during visits and more closely when they took me in as a border when I worked for a nearby company as an intern and after graduation.  During these times I came to know what a good person he was, as we shared animated and detailed conversations about many topics, during card games with he, Jean and other family members, working on projects around the house in Jenison and “up north” at their place in Newaygo and enjoying time boating on Brooks Lake.  Casey will be remembered fondly and dearly missed.

As his sister, I have remembered a couple of special things that my brother could do that I want noted here!  He could play an harmonica by heart in his younger days and he could "talk" like Donald Duck, which delighted me every time I would ask him to do it, even in the last few years!  These are memories I will cherish all by days!

He will always been remembered by me and my family.  He was such a great “Uncle” to me and was there as an extra grandparent figure my whole life.  I’m so glad I got to introduce my son to him before he passed.  I will always remember all the grandparent days he attended with me as well as his love of chocolate and teddy bears.  Love you Uncle Casey!

As my beloved brother, It was always my pleasure to be of assistance to him as he need help with scheduling various doctor appointments, offering transportation to them and more recently just meeting him at those appointments. He make it known that I was his "little sister!"  Over the years, he & Jean welcomed us to their trailer on Selkirk Lake, then later on Brooks' Lake, then on a couple of occasion at their condo rentals in the winter at South Padre Island.  He pulled my son up on water skies for his first time & flew with Marv to Atlanta, GA to meet Dennis and two friends to attend a Nascar Race. He enjoyed all the many friendships' he made & kept through the years.  He just was a cheerful, hard working, & fun loving guy who enjoyed his life to the fullest!  I know he enjoyed reading the Grand Rapids Press, front to back, his copy of Sports Illustrated and the newsletter that his son, Dennis, sent him about the company Den worked for.  I have done genealogy research 2002 & had the pleasure to go through scads of pictures with Sandra & Karen, that they kept, many proving to be ones I had never seen before of him and other family members.  I have always been proud to claim him as my older, and what I felt as a young girl, very good looking brother!  As long as I am breathing, he will be in my memory

Casey was a great Brother Firefighter and "WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED AND NEVER FORGOTTEN". He served with honor and compassion, Thank You Brother may you RIP FOREVER. Our thoughts and prayers to Jean and the family.
