Kelly Ann Machiele

Kelly Machiele (O’Rear), age 58 of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly June 12, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred O’Rear; brother, Robert O’Rear; niece, Jessie Whalen. She is survived by her loving husband, Wilson (Dirk) Machiele; mother, Nancy O’Rear; daughter, Krystal; brothers Larry (Kathy) O’Rear and Ken (Daniel) O’Rear; sisters Tammy (Mark) Noel and Debby (Tom) Harvey; granddaughters Kaylee, Mylee, Raylynn; many cousins, nieces, nephews; and her best friend, Patti Doane.

Kelly was extremely active in helping raise her three granddaughters, and they were the joy of her life. She also spent every day checking in on her mom and taking care of all her needs. Kelly was caring to all and made friends any place she would go. When Kelly wasn’t caring for her loved ones, she enjoyed taking trips to the U.P. with her husband. She was an avid rock hunter and loved to spend time finding special rocks. Kelly also volunteered her time being the driver of the chase car for the annual charity Chic Run, making sure all the ladies on the motorcycles made it safely down the road. Kelly’s contagious smile will be missed by many.

Come celebrate Kelly’s life from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, Michigan. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), with visitation from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to service. Interment will be at Jamestown Cemetery following the service. All are welcome to join the family for lunch after the burial at Burnips Hall, 3003 142nd Ave. Burnips, MI from 1-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers and in memory of Kelly, contributions may be made to Harbor Humane Society.
